BabyHawk - The Cure for the Common Baby Carrier!
A mother's time is perhaps more valuable than anyone else's. And at BabyHawk™ their goal is your needs. Custom designed baby carriers for the style conscious parent. BabyHawk™ Mei Tai's (Asian Baby Carriers) are adopted from a Chinese-inspired idea that makes holding your little lovely on your front, back or hip as safe as it is comfortable.
What is the weight limit of the carrier?
You can wear your child from newborn to 40 lbs, or as long as you can comfortably carry them.
Will the BabyHawk Mei Tai fit me?
The BabyHawk Mei Tai can fit up to a women's size 22/24 or a men's XXL. We also offer xl straps for those that prefer or need longer straps. The actual body size of the carrier (headrest vs toddlerhawk) is not relevant to the size of the individual wearing it.
What is the difference between a Headrest and a Toddlerhawk?
BabyHawk comes in two different styles: the headrest (approx 16.5 x 21.5) and the toddlerhawk (which is 3 inches taller than the regular headrest approx 16.5 x 23.5)
The Headrest Style BabyHawk is great for all children from the newborn right up through the toddler years. The Toddlerhawk is meant for older chidlren AT LEAST 18 MONTHS or older.
All BabyHawks we have in stock are the Headrest Style unless specified as a ToddlerHawk.
How wide are the BabyHawk Mei Tai straps and are they padded?
The straps are 3 3/4 inches wide and the straps are lightly padded to give you enough cushion for a long comfortable ride!
Can you wear a newborn in a BabyHawk Mei Tai?
Yes, you can wear a newborn in a BabyHawk Mei Tai! Some babies in fact prefer the mei tai over a sling or pouch. You are also able to breastfeed discreetly in a Mei Tai as well!
How do I wash my BabyHawk?
You can wash your BabyHawk on cold with just a little detergent (try putting it in a large lingerie bag or pillowcase to avoid it getting wrapped around the agitator or the straps all twisted) and then line dry. You CAN machine dry but your colors will stay brighter and more vibrant if you line dry.
It is always a good idea when washing your carrier for the first time to include a dye catcher sheet with dark colors to catch any excess dye that may be present.

The BabyHawk allows you to safely carry your child on your front, back, or hip. Detailed instructions are included with each carrier, but they are very easy to use.
