Although you don't need a lot to get started cloth diapering your baby, some extra cloth diapering accessories do make things easier. You will want to get a wetbag or two for your diaper bag. You may want to use a diaper pail liner in your diaper pail. Snappi Diaper Fasteners eliminate the need for diaper pins, and you may want to make the switch to cloth wipes as well. As long as you are washing cloth diapers, you may as well just toss the cloth wipes in the diaper pail too, and save money by not needing to buy disposable wipes.

What cloth diapering accessories do I find most useful? You will need a wetbag of course. I personally prefer zip close wetbags, like Happy Tushies or Wahmies wetbags, or for an economical choice there are the Mommy's Touch Wetbags. Some people prefer the drawstring style closure, like on the Bummis and Bumkins totes though. All these wetbags can be used when your diapering days are done, for toting wet clothing or swimsuits, and anything else you can think of. Another cloth diapering accessory many cloth diaper users can't live without is
the Mini Shower
. This diaper sprayer hooks right to your toilet or sink and lets you spray off any messy diapers without having to do the old dunk and swish. Extra diaper changing pads are also useful. Once your baby gets bigger, most parents find themselves changing diapers on the floor. I keep several cloth diaper changing pads around the house, so I can change the baby whereever I am, without having to worry about getting any messes on the floor. Our newest addition - the Big Kahuna Changing Pad, is wonderful. It is much larger than any other changing pad, easy to clean, and still fits into most diaper bags.
