Fitted Diapers

Fitted diapers are cloth diapers that are shaped like a disposable diaper and usually have snaps or hook & loop closures. They are not waterproof, so they do require a diaper cover to be used over them. You do not need a separate diaper cover for each fitted diaper, most people rotate through several diaper covers throughout the day, letting one air out, while they use a different one. The advantage of fitted diapers is that you can use a variety of diaper covers, such as wool, fleece, or PUL, or you can use them with no cover at all if you want. Some people don't use covers at home, especially if they are trying to clear up a diaper rash or if it is very hot. Fitted diapers like Kissaluvs size 0, are nice for newborn babies because you can get a nice snug fit around the legs to prevent any leaks. Fitted cloth diapers also make good night time diapers. They are generally more absorbent than other diapers, especially if you use a diaper doubler with them. What is the most absorbent fitted diaper? There is usually a trade off between absorbency and trimness. Very thick fitted diapers also take longer to dry, so ideally what you want in a fitted diaper is a nice balance between trimness, absorbency, and something that dries fairly quickly. An organic cotton cloth diaper with a wool diaper cover is very environmentally friendly, with only all natural fabrics coming into contact with babies skin.
